Privacy Policy

This policy describes what voltagedropcalculator.co actually does today, not what a template says a website usually does. Where something is planned but not yet in place, it is described as planned. The short version: the site runs no analytics, sets no cookies of its own, and never sends anything you type into a calculator anywhere.

There is no Google Analytics on this site, no Google Tag Manager, and no Plausible, Fathom or Matomo. No scroll depth is measured, no clicks or events are recorded, and no analytics identifier is assigned to you — there is no identifier to assign, because nothing here distinguishes one visit from another.

What will run, once the site is live, is Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views, referrers, country, browser and device type, so that it is possible to tell which pages are being used and which are not. It is cookieless: it sets no cookie, stores nothing in your browser, and assigns you no visitor ID, which is why this site carries no consent banner — there is nothing to consent to. It measures this site only and cannot follow you to another one.

It works through one small script from Cloudflare that reports timing and page-view data after the page has loaded. That script is the only third-party request any page on this site makes, and it is not present yet: until the site is deployed with analytics switched on, the pages load nothing beyond their own HTML, one stylesheet, one first-party script for the calculator, and the favicon.

The site sets no cookies. Nothing in its code writes a cookie, and the pages carry no third-party script that could write one on its behalf, so there is no cookie banner here — there is nothing to consent to.

The calculators also store nothing in your browser. There is no use of local storage, session storage or IndexedDB, which means your last result and your last settings are not remembered between visits. That is a deliberate trade: losing your inputs on reload is a small cost against keeping the site free of stored state entirely.

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The formulas and the code tables are part of the page itself, and the arithmetic happens on your device as you type. Nothing you enter — no load current, no run length, no wire size, no custom resistance value — is transmitted anywhere, and there is no server to receive it. The pages make no network requests after they load: no form submission, no background request, no tracking pixel.

A practical consequence worth knowing: because results are computed locally and never stored, this site holds no record of what you calculated, and cannot produce one if asked.

The site is static, with no application server of its own. Cloudflare Pages is the intended host: the site is not yet deployed, and this section describes how hosting will work once it is. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical information a browser sends with each request — the IP address, the page requested, the browser's user-agent string and the time of the request — in order to deliver the page and protect the service from abuse. That processing happens at the hosting layer, not in anything published here, and this site's operator does not maintain a separate log, analytics store or visitor database. Cloudflare's own handling of that data is governed by its privacy policy.

There is no advertising on this site today. No ad network code is loaded, and no advertising cookie is set. The space some pages reserve for advertising is exactly that — empty space held at fixed dimensions, so that adding a unit later does not shift the page a reader is using.

Google AdSense is intended in future. When it is switched on, Google and its partners will set cookies or similar identifiers on your device and may use them to serve and measure advertising, including personalised advertising where that is permitted and you have consented. That is a material change to this policy, so it will be made here at the same time, along with whatever consent mechanism the applicable rules require in your region. Until this section says advertising is live, it is not.

Apart from the analytics script described above, no page embeds or loads anything from a third party: no fonts, no maps, no video players, no social widgets, no comment system.

Pages on this site link out only rarely, and where they do the target is named in the sentence — the National Fire Protection Association, for the code itself. Following a link takes you to a site with its own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.

This is a technical reference site with no accounts, no sign-up and no submitted content, and it is not directed at children. Because nothing is collected from anyone, nothing is collected from children either.

Data protection law gives people rights over personal data held about them — access, correction, deletion, and objection to processing, among others. Those rights apply to data that exists. Since this site collects and stores no personal data, there is normally nothing to access, correct or delete: a request would be answered by confirming that no record of you exists here.

If you want to make a request, or you believe something on this page does not match what the site is doing, email contact@voltagedropcalculator.co. Requests about data held by Cloudflare as the host should go to Cloudflare, and will be pointed that way if they arrive here.

This policy changes when the site does, in the same change that alters the behaviour — not afterwards. The date below is the date it was last checked against the code. If analytics, cookies or advertising are ever added, the relevant section above will say so plainly rather than being softened into a general statement about "partners we may work with".
